    Blotter for May 4

    In Salisbury Police Department reports:

    • A vehicle crash causing property damage occurred in the 500 block of Jake Alexander Boulevard West at 8:35 a.m. on May 2.
    • A theft of a motor vehicle occurred in the 1300 block of Larchmont Place between 10 p.m. on May 1 and 12:40 p.m. on May 2.
    • A hit and run causing property damage occurred in the 1700 block of South Main Street between 12:18 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. on May 2.
    • A burglary by forcible entry occurred in the 400 block of Partee Street between 4:30 p.m. on May 1 and 7 a.m. on May 2.
    • A larceny from a motor vehicle occurred in the 300 block of Huntington Drive between 7 a.m. on April 28 and 8 p.m. on April 30. It was reported on May 2. The total estimated loss was $200.
    • A hit and run causing property damage occurred in the 200 block of West Fisher Street between 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on May 2.
    • A theft of a motor vehicle occurred in the 400 block of Jake Alexander Boulevard South between 4:44 p.m. on April 28 and noon on May 2.
    • A larceny from a motor vehicle occurred in the 900 block of West Innes Street at 9:55 p.m. on May 2. The total estimated loss was $220.
    • An assault with hands, feet or fists occurred in the 300 block of Club House Drive at 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 25. It was reported on May 2.
    • Ishmel Jamard Miller, 32, was charged with a misdemeanor probation violation on May 2.

    In Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports:

    • A larceny occurred at Statesville Boulevard between noon on April 29 and 1:45 p.m. on May 1.
    • A burglary by unlawful entry occurred at Lakeview Road between noon on Jan. 1, 2023 and 8 p.m. on April 1, 2024.
    • James Henry Smith, 59, was charged with misdemeanor assaulting a child or minor on May 1.
    • Lacey Nichole Heath, 29, was charged with misdemeanor possession of a schedule II controlled substance, two counts of felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia on May 1.
