St. Paul softball awarded Les Schwab Tires team of the month

The Buckaroos just got a little bit richer.

St. Paul softball, who is 14-5 overall and 9-5 in league play, has been chosen as the Les Schwab Tires Team of the Month for April. Teams are nominated by the public and awards are based on performance, dedication in the classroom, and service to the community.

The team will be receiving a trophy presented by the manager of the Les Schwab in Newberg and Les Schwab will be donating $100 to the softball program. The team is coached by Carl Kordenant and assistant coaches Carlos Cavazos and Nicole Grace.

That's not all, however.

Two members of the girls basketball team have been selected as recipients for the 1A OBCA 2023-2024 Basketball All-State Awards held in Sisters, OR, on June 29th. Audra Rose will be awarded first team and Gracie Koch will be awarded an honorable mention selection. The awardees are selected by coaches of teams who represented their league in the state tournament.
