Team applications for what organizers say is the “most insane athletic competition” are now open. That’s right, the irreverent Florida Man Games are somehow back for a second year in 2025.
Florida Man Games began accepting new applications on Monday, and teams will have until September to sign up.
What do you get for participating besides the notoriety? Cash money. Last year, winning teams earned bragging rights, $1,000 and a chance to win another $1,000 in the Cat 5 Cash Grab event, plus a champion’s belt, medals and a Florida flag.

The Florida Man Games is Florida’s take on the Olympics in the most non-serious way possible. The inaugural games last year showcased one-of-a-kind, tongue-in-cheek talents that every Florida Man was born with.
The games are presented by FloGrown and organized by the owner and founder of St. Augustine-based news outlet The 904 Now , Pete Melfi. The Florida Man Games will benefit the Jimmy Jam Community Outreach , a nonprofit that helps local residents in need.

The Florida Man Games are headed back to St. Augustine, Florida, on March 1, 2025.

Florida Man Games 2025 tickets
Tickets for the Florida Man Games start at $25 (plus fees and tax) for general admission. VIP tickets, which include VIP parking, a climate-controlled indoor VIP area, three free drinks, a free catered lunch, VIP restrooms and reserved bleacher seating, start at $99.
RV owners interested in tailgating can purchase RV Country Trailer Parking Passes for $550 and enjoy a private area close to the arena, upgraded restrooms, a private BBQ truck, tented areas and exclusive recreational activities.
These prices reflect an early bird discount and will increase closer to the games next year.

How do you enter to participate in the Florida Man Games?
Teams can sign up using a simple form on the Florida Man Games website . They’ll need a contact name and email, why their team will win, a team name, a phone number, the city the team represents and a video submission.
Teams must have three to five members. All team members must be at least 18 years old, and at least one member must be 21 years old or older.
All team members will need to prove their Florida residency. There will only be 12 teams chosen, so organizers are accepting team videos to decide who is worthy of competing.
Florida Man Games challenges
Here are some of the games that have already been announced. More are coming soon.
- Eat the butt challenge : Competitors must finish their pork butt platter in the fastest time to place highest in the initial bracket.
- Weaponized pool noodle mud duel : Competitors go head to head in a muddy, Florida-style jousting competition.
- Evading arrest obstacle course : Competitors are chased by police through the obstacle course after committing a series of crimes. Grab a gator and get through the swamp before you save the frozen iguana to win the challenge. This was the most anticipated event during last year's games.
- Florida sumo cage match : Conquer the The Florida Man Games chainlink cage as competitors try to knock down their opponents or spill the beer from their pitcher. The loser can still put points on the board by chugging their opponent's remaining beer.
