Welcome to Monday! The day promises to be filled with glorious sunshine 🌞 as temperatures scratch the surface at 80 with winds at 11 mph and gusts up to 21 mph. How perfect!

With spring just flying by, this week's intro theme will celebrate St. Augustine's beach reminders and "Hey did you know?" That is, a review of stories that remain important to every resident, guest and furball companion as we enjoy the beautiful Atlantic coastline, the ancient city's historic architecture, and modern-day rules that protect and serve us.

Today, we visit the Portuguese Man o’ War that occasionally get 'stuck' on St. Augustine's beaches. I know because I was about to pick one up, if not for the gentle guidance of a passerby who informed me that even dead, the tentacles can sting. And the sting can be very, very painful. The best thing I ate... Andy Murray's Eat Drink and Be Murray 🥪

    https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=3m45n9_0sfyQeFK00

I had the pleasure of attending the Murray Brothers Caddyshack Invitational , a two-day charity golf event in World Golf Village, on Friday. Dubbed one of America's most unique charity golf tournaments with its golfing, auctions and music, I was graciously given "Eat, Drink and Be Murray," by Andy Murray, an incredible chef.

Leafing through the book while hungry, I found a quick go-to sandwich that hit the spot so incredibly well, I had to share Andy Murray's mom's recipe for a peanut butter, lettuce and mayo sandwich. The delicacy took three minutes to make and less than five to gobble up. As I didn't have white bread, I substituted a plain bagel.

Ingredients and directions: Slather peanut butter and mayonnaise on two slices of white bread. Add lettuce. Eat. Life is good.

That's it for today, folks! Here's to an incredible week of stories, current info and just plain goodness! Keep the "Hey, I have an idea; and did you know; and why is this happening in St. Augustine? and Tuesday's reader mailbag notes" coming to me at Lviti@gannett.com
