2nd person arrested in connection with Jacksonville shooting that killed 15-year-old, injured his brother
A second person has been arrested in connection with a Jacksonville shooting that left one teen dead and another critically injured. Octavio Abundes, 19, is charged with murder and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon regarding an April 1 shooting in the 2000 block of S. Jackson St., Cherokee County Sheriff Brent Dickson confirmed Friday evening.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - The Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce held its Blueberry Festival media conference Wednesday morning. Festival committee chairperson Grace Handler-Welch told attendees several new activities have been added to the 34th-annual Blueberry Festival. A free carnival will be held at Festival Park on Friday and Saturday. The festival’s sponsor Tipton Ford will bring in a rock climbing wall with free admission.
