POLICE: 2 arrested in 'drive-by' shooting out of Marshall
MARSHALL, Texas — Two teenagers have been booked into Harrison County Jail following a shooting in Marshall. According to the Marshall Police Department, officers arrested Abdiel Vences, 18, and Jordan Hernandez, 17, on Friday in connection to a call about a "drive-by" shooting that occurred Thursday. Officials say they received a call from resident in the 1200 block of E. Bowie who had allegedly been shot at. Patrol officers say nobody was injured in the incident.
UT Tyler's School of Medicine introduces manikin simulation lab
TYLER, Texas — The University of Texas School of Medicine is introducing new technology into their curriculum. Medical students can now gain practical skills in the school's simulation lab, where they will practice on manikins that can move, talk, respond to questions and even demonstrate vital signs. Students will use the manikins to practice key medical procedures, including performing ultrasounds, inserting IVs and treating injuries.
Convenience store with New Mexico, West Texas connections coming to East Texas
TYLER, Texas — A convenience store and gas station with ties to New Mexico and West Texas is expected to come to the East Texas area later this year. Allsup's Convenience Store and Gas Station, which began in Roswell, New Mexico and primarily has locations in New Mexico, West Texas and Oklahoma, has filed a permit with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

PALESTINE, Texas — Two people are now in custody after evading police in a stolen vehicle. According to the Palestine Police Department, an officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop Friday at the intersection of Fifth Street and W. Oak Street on a vehicle that had been reported stolen out of Anderson County. The driver did not pull over, leading to a pursuit.

SCURRY COUNTY, Texas — Another earthquake hit West Texas Friday morning, causing tremors felt across the area. The United State Geological Survey initially reported the earthquake at 4.8 magnitude on the Richter scale at 9:28 a.m. Friday about 9.2 miles northeast of Hermleigh.
