18-year-old WLS board member convicted of drunk driving facing new charges
TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - A Washington Local School Board member busted for drunk driving in February is facing more legal issues. 18-year-old Brady Hall, who turns 19 later this week, was convicted of driving under the influence in Bowling Green earlier this year. As part of the punishment, his license was suspended but a judge granted him driving privileges for work and school board meetings.
Perrysburg police offering student academy
The Perrysburg Police Division will hold a weeklong student academy in which participants will “learn about what it takes to become a police officer,” according to Perrysburg police. Lessons will cover how to become a police officer, field training, case law, police detectives’ role, forensic crime-scene investigation, use of drones, tasers, speed measuring devices, and other police equipment, the role of juvenile court, and Perrysburg Police history. The court lesson will include a mock trial. There will also be the opportunity to participate in a ride-along with a Perrysburg police officer. Academy hours will be 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. July 15-19.
Ohio woman sentenced for violation of FACE Act for damaging pregnancy center
Whitney Durant, aka Soren Monroe, 20, of Worthington, was sentenced to two years of probation and a $2,000 dollar fine by Magistrate Judge Darrell A. Clay, after pleading guilty to one count of intentionally damaging a reproductive health care center, a violation of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (the “FACE Act”).
