Hometown Heroes Day at Rotterdam Elks

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — PatriotHills.org, The Rotterdam Elks #2157, The Ancient Order of Hibernians, and the Tri-County Council Vietnam Eras Veterans are hosting a Hometown Heroes Day at the Rotterdam Elks on Sunday. The Rotterdam Elks is located at 1152 Curry Road in Schenectady.

100% of all donations will be used to support the military and veterans, with a portion going toward the Casey Frankoski Memorial Scholarship Fund, CW2 John Grassia’s memorial contributions will go toward America’s Gold Star Families, and SSG Jacob Pratt, who is recovering from the crash.

Both Frankoski and Grassia were killed when their helicopter crashed on March 8 in Texas.

The day will be commemorated to the UH-72 Aircrew Members Detachment 2, Company A, 1 ^st Bn 224 Security & Support Aviation Regiment patrolling the United States and Mexico border.
