79th Annual Southwest Arkansas District Fair
Hope residents and the surrounding area are gearing up for the 79th Annual Southwest Arkansas District Fair that kicks off today September 26th. Today is the opening day of the fair and the parade starts at 6pm in downtown Hope. Tonight is also family night at the carnival starting at 5pm and there will be food and exhibits. The fair will continue through Saturday in Hope’s Fair Park located at 206 W Avenue A Street in Hope.

First United Methodist Church of Hope Donates to Domestiv Violence Prevention
Members of the First United Methodist Church of Hope recently assembled “emergency bags” to be donated to the local office of Domestic Violence Prevention, Inc. (DVP). Each bag contained needed toiletry items such as shampoo, a washcloth, a toothbrush, etc.; and comfort items including socks, lotion, individual packages of tissues, and a small inspirational or devotional book.
