Litchfield schools sell building to Meeker County
(Litchfield MN-) The Litchfield School Board agreed on a 5-to-1 vote to sell the addition at the Meeker County Family Services Center to Meeker County for one-dollar. The portion of the building had been a cafeteria when the building was known as Litchfield Middle School and most recently was used as an Early Childhood Education Center.
Death Investigation in Brooten
The Belgrade/Brooten Police Department is investigating after a body was found in an alley in the City of Brooten on Thursday. The body was discovered around 1:20pm in an alley behind Western Ave. The death remains under investigation and authorities say there are no public safety concerns at this time.
Dog is rescued after falling through the ice near Spicer
(Spicer, MN)--The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office reportedly responded to a call of a dog that had fallen through the ice. Law enforcement responded to a property on West Twin Lake just west of Spicer. The dog reportedly was about 150 feet off shore in about 10 feet of water. Officials say the dog was unable to climb back onto the ice. A deputy with cold water rescue gear was able to enter the lake and the dog was rescued.

Zumbrota, MN (KROC-AM News) - Three children were among the five people who were transported to St. Mary's Hospital following a traffic crash Saturday afternoon on Highway 52. The State Patrol says all five crash victims were inside a minivan that was traveling north on the highway when it left the roadway and rolled.
