Tritec Real Estate has added another new hospitality tenant to its growing roster at Station Yards in Ronkonkoma.

Artemis, a new speakeasy-style bar, leased a 2,018-square-foot space at the new mixed-use development across from the Ronkonkoma Long Island Rail Road station.

https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=4aoKiE_0slHtPzj00 Artemis is the brainchild of a trio of Long Island entrepreneurs, Ed Fabian, owner of Billie’s 1890 Saloon in Port Jefferson, Brendan Mooney, who heads Fire Island Ferries and Anthony Vero, president of Aurora Contractors. The new bar is designed to be reminiscent of prohibition-era speakeasies of a century ago, where cocktails and conversations were the main entertainment.

"We aim to delight with our artisan drinks and complement the experience with delectable light bites and unparalleled ambiance, perfect for a memorable date night or an evening out with friends or colleagues,"Fabian said in a written statement.

The menu at Artemis will feature both alcoholic and non-alcoholic creations, along with member liquor lockers, special access, private events, cocktail classes, tastings and special events. The place is named after a prohibition rumrunner that ferried liquor to Long Island and met its demise in a Coast Guard cutter off Orient Point.

“Speakeasies often incorporate classic and innovative craft cocktails, and their secretive and exclusive nature creates a buzz in the surrounding community,” Jimmy Coughlan, executive vice president at Tritec, said in the statement. “Bringing Artemis to Ronkonkoma is particularly significant for Tritec because it taps into historical aspects of Long Island, specifically in destinations where Tritec has helped to revitalize.”

Allen Boulos, Richard Cardona, Scott Schneider and Mathew Sullivan of Evernest Realty represented Artemis, while Maria Valanzano, Steve D'Orazio, and Jake Horowitz of Colliers represented landlord Tritec in the lease transaction.

"We are thrilled to announce the addition of Artemis Speak Easy to Station Yards in Ronkonkoma,” Valanzano said in the statement. “This unique venue brings a vibrant, creative energy that perfectly complements the innovative spirit of our community.”

Boulos said the brokers were excited to bring the new business to Station Yards.

“Artemis will be a hidden gem waiting to be discovered, a speakeasy, where whispers of the past mingle with the vibrancy of the present, offering a timeless escape from the ordinary,” he said in the statement.

Artemis joins a growing mix of new retail and restaurants tenants at Station Yards, located in the project’s current development phase, which includes 388 apartments, 70,000 square feet of retail space, 16,500 square feet of office space and apublic plaza.

Artemis is expected to open in September.
