ROGERS, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A Rogers veterinarian clinic is now making it easier for people to get reunited with their lost pets.

The All Dogs Clinic now has a 24/7 microchip check station available on the outside of its building for anyone to use. The goal is to reunite pets with their loved ones sooner.

Megan Blackburn is the practice manager at the clinic. She says this also helps raise awareness of how important microchipping is.

“People don’t neccesarily know how microchips work or that they should microchip their pets. They think it’s like a GPS tracking system where they can see where they are at all times and it’s not like that,” Blackburn said.

Blackburn says you can shield your personal information in the microchip if you don’t want someone getting your address. In that case, the clinic would give the owner the finder’s information for them to meet up.
