Once-thought Aransas Pass accidental shooting ruled as intentional
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A shooting in Aransas Pass that police initially believed was accidental, has now been ruled, as intentional, according to APPD officials. On Friday night officers arrived to a home on Yoakum Avenue where they found 18-year-old Philip Esslinger shot in the chest. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The leadership of Macedonia Baptist Church at 750 W. Ingleside, IOB, Aransas Pass Recycling for a Price
Waste not, want not, unless you are Buddy Wooldridge. The 41-year-old Aransas Pass resident believes some people’s trash could be his treasure while saving the planet at the same time. Last October he started ‘Moon Shot Recycling’, a herculean effort to collect reusable trash like corrugated cardboard, plastics, glass, and metals and bring them to appropriate recycling facilities throughout the Coastal Bend, including a regional facility in Ingleside. To assure that he makes a profit, ‘Moon Shot’ uses a subscription-based fee structure. Clients leave recyclables out for him to pick up on scheduled days, knowing they won’t end up in landfill.
Divine Doors: Ingleside Church Blessed by Contribution
A bay cottage along what is now known as the shore of Ingleside on the Bay was Patrick Nye’s long-time connection to this area, while the family roots originated in Corpus Christi, summers were spent here. When he married his wife, Julie, the couple took the short drive to pray at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church at 2414 Main St. in Ingleside, a house of worship with a strong familial tie. Patrick’s parents, Paul and Nina were devoted parishioners, too, the elder Nye donated the building’s original entryway doors when it was constructed in 1975.
