Double shooting on Mohawk St. injures man and woman

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A double shooting on Mohawk Street left a man and a woman injured as police search for suspects.

According to the Rochester Police Department, officers responded to the area of Mohawk St. and Portland Ave. They found evidence of a shooting, but no victims.

A man in his 30s ended up in Rochester General Hospital with at least one gunshot wound to his upper body. Officers said while talking to him, they learned a second victim, a woman in her 30s, arrived with at least one gunshot wound to her upper body. They both were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

RPD determined both victims were shot on Mohawk Street. No suspects are in custody. Anyone with information to call 911.
