    Wayne CSD student identified as one of the victims in deadly Oak Hill crash

    ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Two men were killed in a car accident at Oak Hill Country Club late Sunday night, one of whom was a student of the Wayne Central School District.

    According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived at the scene after receiving a report of an accident with people trapped.

    The driver, 24-year-old Nazar Boichuk, and the passenger, 18-year-old Vladyslav Antoshchuk, died from their injuries at the scene. Antoshchuk was a senior at Wayne High School and a wrestler.

    Investigators said Boichuk was traveling fast on Chapin Way before losing control and crashing into a tree. No other vehicles were involved.

    The Wayne Central School District released a statement about Antoshchuk’s passing, offering support for its students:

    “Dear Wayne Central Community,”

    “It is with deep sadness that I am writing to inform you of the passing of Vladyslav Antoshchuk, a high school senior. Vladyslav was a dedicated, kind, caring, and respectful student who will be missed greatly.”

    Our hearts and thoughts are with his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.”
