Bluecats to Face Sterling City in Bi-District Game Monday

The Coleman Bluecats lost to Miles Friday night in a seeding game to determine who each team will play for Bi-District. The final was Miles 76 and Coleman 56, making Coleman the 2nd seed going into the playoffs. The Bi-District Championship game will be played against Sterling City this coming Monday night, February 20, at 6:30 pm at Bronte High School. Sterling City is the 3rd seed out of District 7-2A with a district record of 10-4. Coleman is the visiting team. Tickets will be $5 for adults and $3 for students. THSCA, TABC, and District Passes will be accepted.

SAN ANGELO, TX – Drivers distracted by a vehicle fire on Thursday night crashed their pickups on Highway US 87 N. near Grape Creek. Eldorado Goes Off Against Miles in Bi-District Round
SAN ANGELO— The Eldorado Lady Eagles beat the Miles Lady Bulldogs at the Junell Center in San Angelo last night. The Lady Eagles started off hot and put up 20 points in the first to the Lady Bulldogs’ eight. Robbi Martinez for the Lady Eagles proved to be unstoppable as she put up 15 points in the opening quarter and continued her dominance in the second by adding nine points before the half.

Along the creeks and rivers and on the high ridges of West Central Texas, within an approximate circle of 14 contiguous counties stretching from Brown to Taylor and Coke counties, and north to the Salt Fork of the Brazos River, the remains of ancient rock cairns can still be seen. The cairns are the relics of an older civilization, erected by inhabitants that settled here before the more nomadic and warlike Apaches and then Comanches. The people who built these structures are still a mystery today. What kind of people were they, and why did they build so many of these rock mounds?
