SAN ANGELO, Texas – A warm and dry day is in store for the Concho Valley with their possibility of thunderstorms north of the area Wednesday night. As the day progresses, isolated thunderstorms are expected to bubble up along the dryline in the eastern Permian Basin and South Plains, potentially spreading eastward into the Big Country and northern Concho Valley by evening. Crash Shuts Down West Loop 306 Exit, Sends Two to Hospital
SAN ANGELO, TX — Two people were hospitalized in a crash that shut down the South College Hills Blvd. exit off West Loop 306. It happened around 4:30 p.m. when a Nissan rear-ended a Chrysler 300 that was yielding at a yield sign.
Pressure pave project in downtown San Angelo starts April 30
SAN ANGELO, Texas — Drivers in downtown San Angelo may experience detours next week, beginning Tuesday, April 30, as a pressure pave project is completed. A release from Downtown San Angelo, Inc., says pressure pave will be applied on each one-block coming off of Chadbourne Street, as well as the length of Irving and Oakes streets from the river to College Avenue.

Storms developed southwest and north of the Concho Valley Tuesday afternoon. Storms to the southwest were south of Fort Stockton and producing very heavy rain. Storms were also underway north of Abilene where a Severe Thunderstorm Watch had been issued. Going into Wednesday, an isolated late day storm can’t be ruled out but rain chances remain low Wednesday. The best chance for thunderstorms in the Concho Valley appears to be Thursday night as an upper-level low combines with a dry line and Pacific front to produce a line of storms. Some of the storms may become severe and produce damaging wind and hail. After a slight lull in storm activity on Friday, storms are expected to return Saturday night into Sunday morning.
