Earthquake strikes in Elgin after months of quiet
COLUMBIA, S.C. — After months of quiet, another small earthquake has struck near the Elgin area in Kershaw County. The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake struck around 9:14 Monday night about 3.7 miles east-southeast of Elgin, in an area just east of Interstate 20. It was at a depth of 2.2 miles and had a magnitude of 1.7 on the moment magnitude scale.

One dead after crash in Richland County
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol report one person is dead after a collision in Richland County. Troopers said the crash happened around 3:20 p.m. on Interstate 20 near Exit 74. A driver of a 2016 Jeep was traveling east on Interstate 20 when it crashed into the driver of a motorcycle that was merging onto the interstate.
