    Richland PD searching for hit and run driver that left one man with serious injuries

    RICHLAND, Wash. - One man was left hurt and on the side of the road after authorities said he was hit by a car Sunday.

    Officers with the Richland Police Department were called to Columbia Center Blvd and Tapteal Drive Sunday morning just after 1:30 a.m.

    Authorities said a man was found collapsed in the road and they said he had been hit by a car. First responders said the man suffered a serious head injury and was taken to a nearby hospital.

    At this time, authorities said they are following up on all available leads, but they asked for people who may have witnessed it to come forward and talk with them.

    They said the person who hit the man took off from the scene and if anyone has information on who that person is, to come forward.
