Rice Lake City Council to fill District 3 representative seat on Tuesday

The Rice Lake City Council will be filling a council seat vacancy, electing a president and confirming mayoral appointments to committees at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday at its annual reorganizational meeting.

Harlan Dodge, who was elected in April 2023 to represent District 3 through April 2025, will be taking over the role of mayor. He will nominate a candidate to take his place and fill out his term on the council, which has final approval. He also will be presenting his slate of candidates to work on city committees and commissions.

The position of council president will be elected by the City Council on Tuesday. Todd Larson, who won reelection on April 2, has been serving as council president.
