After a short standoff, a man was arrested Tuesday in connection to a fatal stabbing in northeast Reno last weekend.

Frazier Pierce Young, 37, of Reno was arrested on a charge of open murder with a deadly weapon, the Reno Police Department said Wednesday morning.

Police arrested Young in the 1300 block of Manhattan Street. RPD officers and detectives were at the scene as well as SWAT, police said.

The arrest stems from a man that died of stab wounds on Eighth and Spokane streets on Sunday.

Around 5 a.m. Sunday, police were called to Eighth and Spokane streets, where they found a man on the sidewalk bleeding from stab wounds. The victim, whose identity has not been released, died at the scene.

No bail or court date was listed in the Washoe County Jail records.
