AKRON, Pa. -- Law enforcement recently apprehended a 28-year-old landlord suspected of setting fire to his tenants' residence out of frustration. According to a statement issued by the West Earl Township Police Department, the incident unfolded on March 23, just before 2:15 a.m., when officers were dispatched to 312 South 10th St. in response to a reported "civil issue." Allegedly, Ronald Frisbie III, the landlord, became agitated with his tenants following purported damage to a washer and dryer unit. After police intervened and resolved the dispute, officers departed approximately 25 minutes later.

He can come on a bit strong but in the kindest way. The Denver City Council learned more Wednesday about the workforce development component of the Denver Asylum Seekers Program. The city has transitioned the way it helps migrants, closing shelters and instead placing 800 people in the asylum program. That includes people who had been staying in non-congregate hotel shelters, all but one of which have closed. New migrant arrivals will not be eligible for the six-month work program until some graduate, according to a presentation by city staff. The city intends to keep 500 people in the work program at a time, according to Tony Anderson, workforce development manager for the city.
