Reedville Man Extradited To Maryland
Authorities with the Mifflin County Regional Police Department confirmed that the Reedsville man charged with murder in connection to the disappearance of a prominent D.C. photographer is being extradited. Police say Brandon Holbrook was picked up Thursday afternoon and is in the process of being extradited to Calvert County, Maryland.

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Ophelia has weakened to an area of low pressure while Phillipe spins in the central Atlantic. As of Sunday morning, the center of Tropical Storm Philippe was located near latitude 15.6 North, longitude 41.4 West. Philippe is moving toward the west near 9 mph. A continued westward motion is expected over the next few days, with a turn towards the west-northwest and northwest around the middle of the week.

Body Found In Burning Vehicle In Drayden
DRAYDEN, Md. – On Wednesday, September 20, 2023, Deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office (SMCSO) responded to a report of a vehicle fire in Drayden, MD. Attempted Murder: Somerset County Man Indicted In Chase With Police Lieutenant
Brian A. Niziolek, 37, of Fairview Avenue in Somerville, was charged with first-degree attempted murder, second- and third-degree aggravated assault, second-degree eluding, second-degree burglary, resisting arrest, motor vehicle theft, and various weapons offenses following the police pursuit in Manville on Thursday, June 29, Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald said.
Evidence at murder scene to be allowed at jury trial
A motion to withhold evidence from a jury that was collected from the scene of a murder that occurred near Craddockville in 2016 was denied Thursday in Accomack Circuit Court. The case involves the death of 41-year-old Eric Clifford Rhatigan, of Eastville, whose body was found in a “dirt field” about “145 feet” from Davis Wharf Road, on June 15, 2016. Court records state Rhatigan died from multiple blunt force traumas to the head, neck, and torso. A shoe impression at the site, “indicated that at least one other individual was in the field” with Rhatigan. A cell phone that was found near the body belonged to the victim. There was also a wallet at the scene.
