In the summer of 2023, the sudden, quiet arrival of a new food truck with an almost indecipherable death-metal logo puzzled shoppers at the Red Bank Farmer’s Market.
RED BANK: CONDO BUILDING GETS GREEN LIGHT

LOCAL 9 TAKE TROPHY
After a long hot two days of baseball, the Red Bank area-based Jersey Shore Raiders emerged as champions of the United States Amateur Baseball League (USABL) 15U Central Summer Slam Tournament this past weekend. The tournament consisted of 8 teams who each competed in two games of pool-play throughout Saturday at both Count Basie Fields and Lawrence Harbor Little League Fields. On Sunday, the top six teams from pool play competed in a single elimination playoff held at Count Basie Fields. When all was said and done, the Raiders had marched through the playoffs with three consecutive wins of 6-5 over PRD Ghost, 9-7 over TKR Reds and a trophy-clinching 4-1 victory over the Trenton Thunder Baseball Academy.
RED BANK: REDUCED APARTMENT PLAN TO GET AIRING

RED BANK: AZALEA FINALLY SPROUTING

RED BANK: BOATERS RETURN AS SEWAGE WORRIES EBB

Boaters have returned to the Navesink River over the past day or so as concerns over the effects of a sewage spill last week have ebbed and the NJ Department of Environmental Protection issued an all clear to go back on the water.
SMALLS FOR MAYOR?
We at redbankgreen remain neutral in political affairs and never make endorsements. But we have to say Borough Clerk Laura Reinertsen’s bernedoodle Smalls does look pretty darn good in the mayor’s chair following last week’s meeting of the borough council. He has a strong record of community involvement as a service dog doing regular visits to the Red Bank Senior Center. And in a (fantastical) poll in which prospective voters were asked “Who’s a good boy?” he clobbered both current Mayor Billy Portman and his challenger in the last election, Tim Hogan.

RED BANK: SEWAGE MAIN FIXED

A sewage main ruptured by a contractor in a train station parking lot has been repaired and is no longer sending untreated sewage into storm drains and waterways, borough officials said Friday.

Michael White: “Time Spans” opens Friday, July 12 from 6 – 8 p.m. at The Oyster Point Gallery, 146 Bodman Place, Red Bank, NJ. Michael White, a Red Bank resident, creates images of a timeless nature using watercolor, ink, and graphite. This exhibit explores images of bridges and ancient and recent antiquities from Mayan ruins to the abandoned Thunderbolt in Coney Island. Michael is also working with the Red Bank River Center on a mural project on Monmouth Street.
