(Red Oak) On Tuesday morning, the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors approved a request to decrease Red Oak City-owned property taxes.

The request concerns five properties at 300 East Market Street, 109 4th Avenue, 818 East Nuckols, 306 Elm Street, and 1210 North 4th Street. County Auditor Jill Ozuna says the City sent a letter to her office stating they have acquired these properties and requested that the taxes be abated.

The Supervisors also approved the reduction and refund of Red Oak City-owned property taxes paid in error by Bruce Reich of 210 North 5th Street for $324.00. The board also scheduled the primary election canvass for Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 8:30 a.m., with the regular meeting to follow.
