A Trio of Battles Reignite World of Outlaws, PA Posse Rivalry
The time has come for the Pennsylvania Posse to make room on the porch. The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars are ready to invade. Sprint Car Racing’s fiercest rivalry is rekindled this week with three matchups in the “Keystone State.” First up is a Wednesday, May 8, visit to Abbottstown, PA’s Lincoln Speedway for the Federated Auto Parts Gettysburg Clash. The midweek action will be the Series’ lone trip to the 3/8-mile in 2024 and the 53rd in history.

U.S. Women’s Open qualifying results: Who will be at Lancaster Country Club
U.S. Women’s Open qualifying runs through May 20, offering players a chance to compete at Lancaster Country Club beginning later this month. Unlike on the men’s side, there is no local qualifying, just an overall, 36-hole qualifying for the women. There are 23 U.S. sites with one each in Canada, Japan and Germany. A player must have a 2.4 Handicap Index in order to compete.

Red Land volleyball gets senior night win over West York
Red Land pulled off a 3-0 senior night win over West York in volleyball on Monday. Scores were 25-18, 25-18, 25-16. Carter Inzana led the way with 18 kills, 17 service attempts and six aces, and Bryce Zeiders had nine kills and two aces. Isaiah Brown added four kills, two blocks, and two aces, and Austin Pressley had a kill, two blocks and three aces. Aidan Chippo had 16 assists, six digs and one kill, and Josh Rohman had 14 assists, one kill and two blocks.
Softball Game Recap: Spring Grove Comes Up Short
If Spring Grove was riding high off their 32-0 takedown of William Penn last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spring Grove Rockets fell just short of the Central York Panthers by a score of 5-4 on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Spring Grove of the 17-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April.
