National Charity League, Cathedral Catholic High School and others show support for foster teens

The National Charity League San Diego Del Norte Chapter has been supporting the foster teens of San Pasqual Academy for many years. National Charity League Patroness Jennifer Miller held a meeting at her beautiful home, with members of the Class of 2027, to help create wonderful Spring Bags as a special gift for all of the foster students, according to a news release. This class filled zip lock bags with useful hygiene items which included shampoo, body lotion, soap, dental floss, a travel toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, and a comb. These items were added to the larger, cheerful green spring bags that were purchased by Lois Jones, board member of Friends of San Pasqual Academy. All of the completed Spring Bags included sunscreen, body wash, hand soap, hand sanitizer, ChapStick, inspirational tissues and various other hygiene items. Catherine and Ashlyn Garrigan and family, and Teri Summerhays provided additional items that were also placed into the bags.

"Dropping Anchors," a student club at Cathedral Catholic High School contributed an exciting variety of additional hygiene items that the foster students greatly appreciated. The bags were completed and transported to San Pasqual Academy by Summerhays and given to each foster student.
