RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Restaurant reservation site OpenTable and PEOPLE magazine have recently teamed up to pick the 50 most beautiful restaurants in the country , and a Raleigh restaurant made the list.

According to OpenTable, one restaurant was chosen from each state, and those selected are “super-stylish stunners” that “deliver unforgettable dining experiences.”

Tamasha Modern Indian, located in North Hills, has been chosen as the representative for North Carolina.

“Moody interiors — gold archways, elaborate light fixtures, dramatic marble — meet flavorful modern Indian fare,” the list notes.

The restaurant on Six Forks Roads, which only opened in February of this year, acknowledges the recognition on its website, thanking patrons for embracing the new eatery.

“Your ongoing support and positive reviews have been instrumental in this achievement!” reads a message on Tamasha’s website. “Thank you for embracing our ambiance, service, food, and drinks since our doors first opened in February, 2024.”

Tamasha, which prides itself on “epitomizing the essence of high-end dining,” according to its website, is co-founded and co-owned by Mike Kathrani and Tina Vora, with Bhavin Chhatwani leading the kitchen as executive chef.

Vora was also the interior designer for the restaurant, which “aspires to awe guests from the moment they enter, immersing them in a world of wonder and delight.”

In addition to sections on food, drinks, and other categories typically seen on a restaurant’s website, Tamasha also has a section dedicated to the space’s interior design .

“Inspired by the essence of ‘Tamasha’ meaning a grand performance or drama, owners Mike and Tina envisioned an upscale Indian restaurant, reflecting class, luxury and modern chic design,” the website says, going into detail on everything from the color palette to the metal and glass sculptures in the dining areas. “This is more than just dining; it’s a symphony of luxury and grandeur in the heart of Raleigh.”

Tamasha is located at 4200 Six Forks Rd. #130. The restaurants operating hours are from 5 p.m.-9:30 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday and Sunday, and 5 p.m.-10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Complimentary valet parking is also available Thursday-Saturday from 5 p.m.-10 p.m.
