FORNEY - A new report from the U.S. Census Bureau released on May 16th shows Forney in the top ten of the top fifteen fastest-growing cities in the United States. As Lloyd Potter of the Texas Demographic Center highlighted in an interview with KERA, there's a discernible trend. More and more people, particularly those focused on family formation, are opting for larger house spaces. This preference is a key factor driving them towards the suburbs of metropolitan areas, a trend that is clearly reflected in Forney's growth.

In a series that was by and large determined by the pitchers - Hayden Mowrey of S&S and Cambree Oakes of Rains - something had to give in the third game of their best-of-three series. Mowrey hit a game-winning three-run home run in the Lady Rams’ 10-7 series-opening win, and Oakes returned the favor in the second game with a three-run blast of her own that gave the Lady Cats a 4-1 series-tying victory.
