SUNNYSIDE, Queens (PIX11) – No. 7 subway service resumed its normal schedule Monday morning after a person was struck by a train in Queens, according to the MTA.

It happened at the 40th Street-Lowery Street subway station in Sunnyside. The man who was struck was taken to a hospital in critical condition, according to the NYPD.

    No criminality is expected.

Normal service has since resumed, but No. 7 subway trains were skipping 82nd Street-Jackson Heights and 111th Street due to the MTA working on station improvements. The MTA encouraged commuters to use 74th Street-Broadway, 90th Street-Elmhurst Avenue, 103rd Street-Corona Plaza or Mets-Willets Points stations for alternate service.
