NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A shooting at a catering hall in Queens where a baby shower was held early Saturday morning killed one man and injured three others, according to the NYPD.

Officers responded to Volume Seventeen, an event venue located at 108-11 Atlantic Ave. in Richmond Hill, at 1:30 a.m. and discovered three men with gunshot wounds.

A 24-year-old man was shot once in the chest, a 26-year-old man was shot once in the right arm and a 45-year-old man was shot once in the left leg, police said.

EMS rushed the 24-year-old victim to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. The other two men were transported to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital in stable condition.

Police said that a fourth man, 43, who was involved in the incident arrived at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center by private means with two gunshot wounds to the right arm and one to the left leg. He is in stable condition.

The shooting occurred when an altercation inside the event venue spilled out into the street, police said. Officials reported that there were at least 15 bullet holes in the glass of the catering hall.

It was not immediately clear what the dispute was about, or what the relationship is between those involved.

The identity of the deceased will be released following proper family notification.

There are no suspects in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
