NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A woman riding a subway train through Queens was attacked by a woman who repeatedly punched her in the face, police said Tuesday as they released surveillance images of the suspect.

The 55-year-old woman was riding a northbound E train at Queens Plaza in Long Island City around 8:10 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, when the other woman suddenly attacked her, according to cops.

The attacker punched her face multiple times with a closed fist before fleeing the scene, police said.

The assault left the victim with pain and bruising to her face. She declined further medical attention at the scene.

The suspect is believed to be in her 30s. She was wearing a brown jacket, a blue jump suit and fuzzy black sneakers, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
