I’ll be bouncing around the high school and professional beat this week.

The Providence Bruins embark on a potential Calder Cup run this week in the second round of the AHL playoffs against Hartford on Wednesday. But I already checked out Triggs Memorial on Monday to watch two of the state’s best high school golfers in Max Jackson and Olivia Williams .

On Tuesday I found a new location. The Wawaloam School in Exeter is home to Kole Kilduff’s Exeter-West Greenwich team. I might be the first Providence Journal sports reporter to watch a baseball game there, as Rueb pointed out, but Kilduff’s curveball is quite the phenomenon that I needed to see.

That lands us on today (Wednesday) as I gear up to watch Providence. The P-Bruins also play on Friday, so I’ll be at the AMP to end the week.

    But before that?

Barrington boys volleyball hosts Cranston West on Thursday in a matchup of Division II contenders that is calling my name.

Rueb was also out on the trail this week watching Division I girls lacrosse commit, Orla Howlett, dominant with Classical. And the GOAT, Bill Koch, checked in with former Hendricken star, Brandyn Durand, during his injury rebound with Bryant after suffering labrum and cartilage tears in his left shoulder.

I have to head to Providence now, and if you’re planning on going on Friday, I suggest you get there early.

    Till next time.
