PRINEVILLE, Ore. (KTVZ) – A fire destroyed several sheds and outbuildings in Prineville Wednesday afternoon, but Crook County Fire and Rescue crews were able to control the blaze before it reached a nearby triplex, an official said.

Firefighters were called around 2:20 p.m. to the fire in the 400 block of NE 5 ½ Street, Division Chief and Fire Marshal Russell Deboodt said.

The unoccupied sheds were full of various personal items, he said.

Fifteen firefighters, two engines and an ambulance responded to the scene of the fire, which caused no injuries. The cause of the fire has not been determined, Deboodt said.

Crook County Fire & Rescue received mutual-air assistance from the Prineville Police and Public Works departments. Jefferson County Fire and EMS sent an ambulance tocover the district while crews were on scene.
