Fyffe’s Logan Anderson Scores 8 TDs One Year after 2022 Season-ending Injury
MONTGOMERY – Fyffe High School junior running back Logan Anderson set a school record and fell just one shy of the AHSAA state record for touchdowns in a game to lead the defending Class 2A state champion Red Devils (12-1) to a 63-33 over previously unbeaten Locust Fork (12-1) last Friday to grab the AHSAA Football Playoff Spotlight for round three of the 2023 playoffs.

Cherokee County's Jacob Cornejo sits at 2,712 yards and 38 touchdowns on the year while Fyffe's Logan Anderson sits at 2,303 yards and 40 touchdowns. To enter the top-10 they would need to hit 2,865 yards or 43 touchdowns by season's end. Anderson's brother Payton is currently 10th with the 43 touchdowns.

U.S. Highway 411 from Cherokee County to Etowah County is now complete. This is all part of Governor Kay Ivey’s Rebuild Alabama Program. This new six-mile highway between Turkeytown and Leesburg will provide Cherokee County with its first four-lane connection to an interstate.
