PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - A Tigard man who received compassionate early release from prison during the COVID-19 pandemic, returned to committing crimes days later. According to court documents, in July 2019, Johnell Lee Cleveland, 42, was sentenced to 57 months in federal prison for distributing fentanyl, possessing a machine gun and money laundering. In the summer of 2020, nineteen months before his original projected release date, Cleveland was granted a compassionate release from prison based on health risks associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Student Hospitalized After Being Struck by Car at Portland East Middle School
A middle school student was hospitalized Monday afternoon after being hit by a car at Portland East Middle School. The incident, which occurred during the school's dismissal time, prompted a swift response from local emergency services. 10-month-old baby tests positive for fentanyl; grandmother arrested in Oregon
TIGARD, Ore. — A woman is facing multiple charges, including child neglect, after her 10-month-old granddaughter tested positive for fentanyl, according to Tigard police. On Friday at 10:35 p.m., an officer who was patrolling the Tigard Plaza Shopping Center saw an unlicensed Jeep parked with the engine on. The driver appeared to be "passed out behind the wheel, and drug paraphernalia was out in plain view," Tigard police said. An officer also saw a baby in the back seat.
