Milton School District Superintendent Jeremy Bilhorn and Milton School Communications and Safety Coordinator Kari Klebba co-chair a steering committee. From there, nominations forwarded to a nine-person selection committee made up of district staff, community members and alumni. “We want to celebrate those that have upgraded the culture and the foundations of the district that we love,” Bilhorn said. Nomination forms are at milton.k12.wi.us/WallOfHonor . Nominations are due Jan. 31 either online or in person at the high school. Selections will be made in March and announced in April. WIAA Football: L-Cats earn historic first Level 4 spot by downing Delavan-Darien, 35-7
LAKE MILLS — Lake Mills head coach Tyler Huber called his seniors forward from a line of gleeful players. After receiving the sectional championship plaque from athletic director Justin Annen, Huber immediately passed it on to the star-studded class of 2027, which erupted in celebration and soon got mobbed by the student section and their fellow teammates. Finally, after so much recent playoff heartbreak, Lake Mills is Level-4 bound for the first time ever. Senior quarterback Tyler Wollin threw five touchdowns as the top-seeded Lake Mills football team knocked off third-seeded Delavan-Darien 35-7 in a WIAA Division 4 Level 3 game on Friday at L-Cat Stadium. The L-Cats extended their win streak to 11 games, which ties the 1987 team for the longest streak in program history. This current bunch joins that '87 team as Lake Mills squads to reach the state semifinal round. The '87 team did it when the playoffs lasted four weeks. Lake Mills bumps its record to 11-0 in playoff games at L-Cat Stadium, which opened just in time for the 2019 postseason. The L-Cats improve to 1-4 in Level 3 games dating back to 2016. Wollin, in his 10th playoff start, went 10-of-18 passing for
