LAKEPORT, Fla. (WPEC) — A Florida man accused of stealing a boat tried to evade police by disguising himself as a woman, according to authorities. In a Facebook post, the Glades County Sheriff's Office said deputies were investigating a recovered stolen boat in Lakeport on Wednesday shortly after 3 p.m.
High schools across four counties attend Blue Water Building Trades Fair
More than 1,000 students were present at Goodells County Park for the annual Blue Water Building Trades Fair Wednesday. This was the third year that Macomb/St. Clair County MiWorks has facilitated the fair, with students from across St. Clair, Macomb, Lapeer and Sanilac counties in attendance. MiWorks Youth Program Coordinator Cristine Robson said the purpose of the fair is to provide career exploration opportunities for students in rural areas.

As the trial of a man accused of attempting to kill his wife continued Friday, the attorneys and witnesses zeroed in on the effects of one drug in particular: Prednisone. Typically used to treat inflammation, defense attorney Joshua Rubin called psychiatrist Dr. Gerald Shiener to testify on how Prednisone may have affected Gregory Ringel's perception of reality when he fired a shotgun at his wife in March 2022.
Freeze warning and frost advisory issued for Southeast Michigan

Man arrested in St. Clair County drug bust
A 25-year-old Port Huron man was arrested April 17 following a drug bust in the city, authorities said. The St. Clair County Drug Task Force executed multiple search warrants during the week, resulting in one arrest, four felony drug charges, and the seizure of over 15 grams of methamphetamine, 2 grams of fentanyl, crack cocaine, 13 firearms, drug paraphernalia, scales and packaging materials.

Nobody was injured Tuesday afternoon when a truck backed into a school bus, a dispatcher from the Ravenna post of the Ohio Highway Patrol post said. The incident took place at 2:46 p.m. in the 9200 block of Gilbert Road in Paris Township. The dispatcher called the incident "very minor."
