Put-in-Bay gets two federal grants for airport improvements
PUT-IN-BAY, Ohio — The Put-in-Bay Township Port Authority is getting two federal grants totaling $239,262 to help improve services at Put-in-Bay Airport. The Federal Aviation Administration grants were announced Tuesday night by U.S. Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D., Toledo), co-chairman of the House Great Lakes Task Force. One grant is to be used for the design phase of enhanced parking areas. The other will be used to purchase a replacement carrier vehicle with plow attachment to help clear the airfield during the winter.
