Each school year, the Ohio Department of Education rates schools based on state standards.

McKinley Elementary and Poland Middle both received five-star ratings.

Poland Seminary High School wasn’t far behind with 4.5 stars.

Superintendent Craig Hockenberry said he is proud of the teachers, parents and most importantly the students who continue to strive to be the best.

“It’s a great day at Poland when we have all the cylinders kicking at a high level,” Hockenberry said. “We are very proud of that and proud of the work our parents do, the support they give us.”

Hockenbery also thanked their community partners for their continued support as well.

The district plans to continue providing additional learning options for students throughout the summer.
