Plainview PD captures suspect involved in Thursday morning shooting

PLAINVIEW, Texas — The Plainview Police Department has taken Quarran Thomas, 46, into custody for Aggravated Assault after a shots-fired call in the 1300 block of Kokomo Street on Thursday morning.

The call came in at approximately 1:56 a.m., according to PPD.

Plainview Police said upon arrival they located a 54-year-old woman who suffered from gunshot wounds to the hand and torso. The woman was transported to a hospital where she remains in critical condition.

PPD said a witness explained that multiple people were inside the residence drinking when Thomas pulled out a gun and shot the victim.

Thomas was taken into custody at 8:24 a.m., according to PPD.
