PLAINFIELD, NJ — The Plainfield Special Improvement District will hold this year's spring festival, called Arts in Bloom, on Saturday, April 27, from 10:30am until 4pm on North Avenue by the Plainfield Train Station.

Co-sponsored by the Plainfield Cultural and Heritage Commission, Mass Mutual, and the Elisa Freeman Sananman Family Fund, the festival will feature a host of vendors, art exhibitions, and performers carefully selected to show off the arts and culture in Plainfield and the area.

A free zumba class will take place at 10:30am before a live DJ will begin an hour later. Concert pianist Tawana Williams will perform at 12:30pm followed by violinist Joshua Reserve at 1pm. The centerpiece for the day is perhaps the 1:30pm revealing of a brand new mural.

Vendors will include artists, clothing stores, a juice bar, a local cafe, a book store, an art gallery, a florist, and more. Food trucks were not invited, as attendees will be encouraged to support the many local eateries in the immediate area.
