PITTSBURG, Kan. (KOAM) -- Some Pittsburg residents hit the track to do some running.

The Dylan Meier Get Busy Livin' Foundation hosted a 5K Run and Friendship Walk.

"Dylan was such a, a person who can bring so many people together of different walks of life, of different personalities. And so, this run has really been representative of his personality and how he went about things. Cause we have a great group of people out here everyday," says Tyler Scifers, Get Busy Livin' Foundation.

The run was kicked off by Dr. David Huerter, who's only missed one of the foundations 5K's.

The event also featured a kids fest with activities including an obstacle course, trick-shot station, and fun zone.
