Semple got it right in recent column on ASE
Thank you, Lorenzo Semple, for such a well-reasoned column (Come fly with me,” May 4, Aspen Daily News) that impacts so many of us and our families who fly commercial in and out of Aspen. Every Pitkin County commissioner, including the one who voted no last week on the...
Recent opinion pieces represent toxic thought
Recently a local column, and a letter that followed, attacked the opinions of two local supporters of Pitkin County’s plan for updating the Aspen-Pitkin County Airport on the basis that they’re successful businessmen. Soldner: Grateful for transferrable development rights granted to Aspen Chapel
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Pitkin County commissioners! Aspen Chapel was granted three transferrable development rights. When I saw this headline in our local papers my heart swelled with joy. I can’t think of a more deserving and better way to support not only the Aspen Chapel, but our entire community. I hope this meaningful financial support will allow the Chapel to address its immediate needs without time consuming and challenging fundraising and makes possible an uninterrupted thriving and engaging future at the Aspen Chapel for us all.
