Missing your pet? Giant lizard spotted in backyard of Pinellas County home

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — Missing your pet lizard?

A lizard was spotted in the backyard of a Pinellas Park home on Friday morning around 11:30 a.m.

According to a post on Facebook , the unknown species, estimated to be around 2 feet long, was seen on 60th Street and 67th Avenue North.

“Just seeing if anyone is missing a lizard or dragon type of animal,” Kelly Spencer wrote.

Many Facebook users were commenting on the post with their best guesses of what kind of lizard it was, while others bypassed that thought.

“I would die if that ran across my path!” a user wrote.
