1 person injured in vacant house fire on Syracuse’s North Side
Syracuse, N.Y. — One person was burned and taken to a hospital early Tuesday after a fire in a vacant home on Syracuse’s North Side. When Syracuse firefighters got to the boarded-up home at 744 E. Laurel St. at 1:54 a.m., there was heavy black smoke coming from the roof, said Syracuse District Fire Chief Matthew Craner, a spokesperson for the department.
