A Sunday night shooting in west Phoenix has left one man dead as police continue to look for his killer, according to a Phoenix police press release.

Paul Albert Lopez, 37, died on Tuesday after being treated for several gunshot wounds over two days, the police release said.

Officers got a call about gunshots going off near 51st Avenue and Indian School Road at around 11:30 p.m. Police found Lopez alive, lying on the street after being shot many times. Lopez was rushed to a hospital but later died from his injuries, according to police.

No arrests have been announced, though police said they are investigating leads. Detectives learned that Lopez had been arguing with two people before the shooting happened, according to the police release.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS (480-948-6377), in Spanish at 480-TESTIGO (480-837-8446) or submit a tip online at SilentWitness.org .
