Los Angeles’ famous Randy’s Donuts recently made its Phoenix debut, but it appears this is just the beginning for franchise owner Brian Padilla .

Previously, What Now Phoenix reported on the well-known donut chain making its debut at 5709 N 7th Street, which had its soft opening on April 23. The company plans to host an official grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the end of May. After this, Padilla, a local entrepreneur, plans to open multiple franchised locations in Arizona, New Mexico, and El Paso, Texas. The franchise owner is planning to open sites in Gilbert and Chandler next, according to AZ Family .

“People know us from their favorite television shows and movies, but they keep coming back because our donuts are as delicious as they are Instagram-worthy,” Mark Kelegian , Owner and CEO of Randy’s Donuts, said in a press release . “Randy’s has been an everyday treat for more than 70 years. With our new collection of specialty coffees, bobas, milkshakes and refreshers, we’re more popular than ever.”

The company officially announced the upcoming 7th Street location at the beginning of the month, along with six other sites in Las Vegas (which Padilla also owns), Culver City, San Diego, Fresno, and Albuquerque. With these seven new locations, Randy’s has grown to 44 units and expects to grow to a minimum of 50 stores by year-end, with additional stores opening in Atlanta, Korea, and the Philippines.

Founded in 1952 and best known for its 32-foot giant rooftop donut at its original location in Inglewood, Randy’s Donuts offers over 60 different varieties of classic, deluxe, fancy, and premium donuts along with Randy’s Rounds. Coffee enthusiasts are treated to various coffee blends, espressos, cold brews, iced drinks, and frappes powered by Randy’s Roast. The iconic donut in Los Angeles has been featured in movies and shows like Iron Man 2, Mars Attacks, the Simpsons, and Arrested Development.
