Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards ended the Phoenix Suns’ season in explosive fashion.

Edwards was a highlight machine in his team’s 122-116 Game 4 win to complete a first-round series sweep of the Suns at Footprint Center in Phoenix, Ariz.

Edwards scored a team-high 40 points on 13/23 shooting from the field.

The 22-year-old’s most electric bucket came with just over two minutes left to play. Edwards drove past Suns guard Bradley Beal and pulled off a tomahawk dunk over Kevin Durant.

The monster throwdown gave the Timberwolves a 115-111 lead.

Edwards has compiled an impressive catalogue of dunks throughout the 2023-24 season. But Sunday’s highlight slam was arguably the most impressive given that it came in a pressure-packed playoff moment.

Edwards fittingly finished off Phoenix with another dunk, which ended up being the final field goal of the series.

The Suns got 82 points combined from Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. But no other Phoenix player scored in double figures. Suns guard Bradley Beal finished with just nine points on 4/13 shooting from the floor.

Beal’s name trended on X for the wrong reasons. He committed a game-high six turnovers and appeared to disrespect Suns head coach Frank Vogel while frustrated .

The Timberwolves, however, didn’t leave Footprint Center unscathed. Minnesota head coach Chris Finch suffered a knee injury after T-Wolves veteran Mike Conley Jr. accidentally crashed into him late in the contest.
