Baseball Game Preview: Boothbay Hits the Road
Boothbay is 2-8 against Hall-Dale since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Boothbay Seahawks will head out on the road to square off against the Hall-Dale Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Seahawks sneak into playoffs
After a loss to Oak Hill, the Boothbay varsity baseball team eked out a spot in the Class D South playoffs with a win against Hall-Dale for the Seahawks’ final game of the regular season. The top eight teams in the Heal point standings make it to playoffs, and Boothbay had been stuck at ninth for several weeks. The team finished the season in eighth place with a 6-10 record.

The Boothbay Region High School boys and girls tennis teams learned their Maine Principals’ Association Class C South tournament opponents today, May 30. The undefeated and top-seeded Seahawk boys will host the eighth-seeded Carrabec Cobras – a team Boothbay shut out twice during the regular season – on Monday, June 3. Start time is 4 p.m. on the BRHS courts.
